Text

The following words and terms as used in this part shall have the meanings ascribed to them in this section, unless a contrary meaning is apparent from the context:

(1)COUNTY. Shelby County, Alabama
(2)DISTRICT FOR EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES. A district created under this part for establishing and maintaining a system for the operation of emergency medical services, including rescue and ambulance services.
(3)DISTRICT FOR FIGHTING FIRES. A district created under this part for establishing and maintaining a system for fighting or preventing fires.
(4)DISTRICT FOR FIRE FIGHTING AND EMERGENCY MEDICAL SERVICES. A district created under this part for establishing and maintaining a system for fighting and preventing fires and a system for the operation of emergency medical services.
