§ 45-58-100 — Receiving Additional Expense Allowance
(a)Commencing on April 27, 2000, each member of the Shelby County Board of Education shall be entitled to receive an additional expense allowance in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500) per month, which shall be in addition to all other expense allowances, compensation, or salary provided by law. This expense allowance shall be payable in monthly installments from the public school funds of the county.
(b)Beginning with the expiration of the term of the incumbent board of education, the salary for each member of the Shelby County Board of Education shall be increased by five hundred dollars ($500) payable in monthly installments from the public school funds of the county and at that time, subsection (a) shall become null and void.
