§ 45-57A-61 — Board Name and Composition

(a)An elected board of education for Phenix City shall be established. The board shall be called The Phenix City Board of Education. The board shall be composed of seven members, with two members being elected from each of the three city council districts by a majority of the qualified electors voting who reside in the district, and one member being elected from the city at-large.
(b)Candidates for each place on the board of education shall run for a place to be designated and numbered as follows:
(1)Board Member, District 1, Place 1.
(2)Board Member, District 1, Place 2.
(3)Board Member, District 2, Place 1.
(4)Board Member, District 2, Place 2.
(5)Board Member, District 3, Place 1.
(6)Board Member, District 3, Place 2.
(7)Board Member, At–Large.
(c)A candidate running for elect
