Text
(a)There is created a county commission for Russell County, consisting of seven members, one to be elected from each of the seven districts apportioned by law. Each member shall be a resident of the district he or she is representing and shall hold office for a period of four years and until his or her successor is elected and qualified.
(b)The county commission and county commissioners shall have all the jurisdiction, duties, and powers which are now or may hereafter by law be vested in the county commission or county commissioners by the state.
