Text

(a)(1) Pursuant to Amendment 380 to the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, the Russell County Coroner shall receive an annual salary of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000). The county coroner shall be entitled to the same cost-of-living increases as provided to other elected officials in Russell County. The county coroner shall be provided health insurance, which shall be paid from the county general fund.
(2)The county coroner shall provide an itemized budget request for all office supplies, equipment, and operational expenditures. The county shall provide the county coroner with office space and budgeted funds approved by the county commission to operate the coroner’s office including, but not limited to, utilities, reasonable supplies, and equipment.
