Text

The planning commission shall adopt a code of regulations applicable to the subdivision of land. Plats of subdivisions, after the adoption of the code of regulations, shall not be accepted for filing and recording in the probate office until they have been approved in a manner to be designated by the planning commission. The planning commission may provide a penalty not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100) per day, per lot, until violation is corrected. The penalty shall be paid by anyone who subdivides property and conveys lots therefrom without first having recorded the plat of the subdivision as is herein provided. Penalties shall be deposited to the operating funds of the planning commission. The provisions of this section shall apply within the jurisdiction of the planning commission
