Text
The pistol permit fee in Russell County shall be a total of twenty dollars ($20) which shall be collected by the sheriff. Five dollars ($5) of the fee shall be deposited in the general fund of the county, and fifteen dollars ($15) of the fee shall be deposited in a special fund or account of the county treasury, five dollars ($5) of which shall be used by the sheriff at his or her discretion for law enforcement purposes and ten dollars ($10) of which shall be earmarked for training of deputies. Any permit issued shall contain a picture identification of the permit holder.
