Text

(a)The Russell County Commission may provide for cost-of-living increases for the motor vehicle license commissioner in addition to any salary or compensation being paid to the motor vehicle license commissioner.
(b)This section shall be read in pari materia with Section 40–6A–2. All cost-of-living increases provided pursuant to this section shall be prorated and paid from the same funds and in the same manner as provided under that section.
(c)Any cost-of-living increases or similar payments made to the motor vehicle license commissioner by the Russell County Commission prior to May 20, 2001 are validated, ratified, and confirmed retroactive to October 1, 2000.
