Text

(a)Pursuant to the authority of Section 104 of the Constitution of Alabama of 1901, on and after August 1, 2005, the Alcoholic Beverage Control Board may not issue a license to any person or other entity to sell any alcoholic beverage for on-premises or off-premises consumption, nor for the consumption of alcoholic beverages in any bar, restaurant, or other commercial business, or community establishment within 500 feet of a church in Russell County.
(b)This section shall not prevent, restrict, or affect the otherwise legal possession and consumption of alcoholic beverages in a private social setting within the prescribed area.
(c)Any violation of subsection (a) may be punishable as provided by law.
(d)Any person who violates subsection (a) may be subject to any disciplinary action by
