Text

(a)The governing body of any county having a population of not less than 17,000 nor more than 20,000 according to the most recent federal decennial census, is required to provide an expense allowance of one hundred dollars ($100) per month for each county commissioner and the chair of the county commission. The amounts shall be paid out of the general fund of the county on warrants issued by the chair of the county governing body. The allowance shall be in addition to any other salary, allowance, or other compensation provided by law to members of any county governing body.
