Text

(a)Effective January 1, 2013, the Sheriff of Randolph County shall receive an additional expense allowance payable from the general fund of the county in the amount of five hundred dollars ($500) per month, which shall be in addition to all other expense allowances, compensation, or salary provided by law.
(b)Effective beginning the next term of office, the Sheriff of Randolph County shall receive the same salary as the first step of the salary range for the Circuit Clerk of Randolph County payable monthly from the general fund of the county and subsection (a) shall be null and void. Any newly elected or appointed sheriff shall initially receive a salary at Step 1 of the circuit clerk’s compensation schedule and shall thereafter receive annual raises in the same manner as provided in the
