Text

(a)In Pike County, the Pike County Commission may set the salary of the coroner not to exceed twenty thousand dollars ($20,000) per year. The salary provided by this section shall be payable in equal monthly installments out of the general fund of the county.
(b)In addition to any salary provided to the coroner, the Pike County Commission may set an expense allowance for the coroner so that the total expense allowance of the coroner does not exceed eighteen thousand dollars ($18,000) per year. Any expense allowance paid to the coroner shall be paid in equal monthly installments out of the general fund of the county.
