Text

(a)Commencing on October 1, 2023, if the Judge of Probate of Pickens County is licensed to practice law in this state and is authorized to exercise equity jurisdiction, the judge of probate shall be entitled to and shall receive an additional expense allowance in an amount of one thousand seven hundred thirty-three dollars ($1,733) per month to be paid from the general fund of the county in the same manner as the salary of the judge of probate is paid. The expense allowance provided by this subsection shall be payable in equal monthly installments and shall be in addition to all other expense allowances, compensation, or salary provided by law. This subsection shall be void on the effective date of subsection (b).
(b)Effective beginning the next term of the office of the Judge of Probate
