Text

(a)The county commission, by resolution, may provide, during the term of office of the coroner, an expense allowance for the coroner serving Pickens County. The expense allowance shall be paid from the county treasury in equal monthly installments and shall be in addition to any other expense allowance, salary, or other compensation provided by law. Any expense allowance granted under this section shall expire at the end of the term of the coroner, but may be included in the salary of the coroner for the next term of office set pursuant to subsection (b).
(b)The county commission, by resolution adopted 90 days prior to the qualifying date for the primary election for the election of the coroner, may set the annual salary effective for the next term of office for the coroner serving Picke
