(a)(1) Effective beginning June 1, 2024, the Coroner of Perry County shall be entitled to receive an expense allowance of twelve thousand dollars ($12,000) per year, to be paid in equal monthly installments from the general fund of the county. The expense allowance provided in this section shall be in lieu of any other expense allowance or fees currently provided to the coroner and shall be the only expense allowance or fees provided to the coroner.

(2)Effective at the end of the term of the coroner serving on June 1, 2024, this section shall be repealed.
