§ 45-53-230 — Salary; Expense Allowance
(a)(1) Any sheriff taking office after September 1, 2011, shall receive an annual salary of sixty-five thousand dollars ($65,000) per annum, payable in equal monthly installments from the general fund of the county.
(2)Any sheriff taking office after September 1, 2011, shall receive an expense allowance up to ten thousand dollars ($10,000) as determined by the Perry County Commission.
(3)The salary and expense allowance provided in this subsection shall be in lieu of any other salary or expense allowance for the sheriff.
(b)(1) Any sheriff serving for 30 or more years on September 1, 2011, shall receive an expense allowance so that the expense allowance and annual salary of the sheriff shall equal seventy-five thousand dollars ($75,000) per annum, payable in equal monthly installments fr
