Text

(a)The county commission may adopt rules and regulations to enforce the purchase of county motor vehicle license plates and tags by county residents. The county, after a hearing, may impose a civil penalty upon county residents violating the rules or regulations enforcing the purchase of county motor vehicle license plates and tags which have been imposed by the county commission. The civil penalty shall be payable at a place and pursuant to procedures adopted by the county commission.
(b)The sheriff and other duly constituted and authorized law enforcement officers shall enforce any violations of the rules and regulations enforcing the purchase of county motor vehicle license plates and tags pursuant to subsection (a).
