If the federal district court has not scheduled elections under another plan for the Perry County Board of Education and County Commission before July 9, 1987, a special election to elect members of the county commission and members of the board of education shall be held within 90 days after July 9, 1987, or at the time set for election by order of the United States District Court in the case of Perry County Board of Education v. Perry County Commission, et al., Case #CU 86-0221-C. Otherwise, elections shall be held under this section at the primary and general elections in 1988.
