§ 45-52-60 — Compensation; Participation in Employees’ Retirement System

(a)Commencing on the first day of May, 2008, the Coroner of Morgan County shall receive an additional expense allowance in an amount so that the total compensation and expense allowance of the coroner equals thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) per annum. This expense allowance shall be payable in equal monthly installments from the general fund of the county.
(b)Beginning with the expiration of the term of the incumbent coroner, the annual salary for the coroner shall be thirty thousand dollars ($30,000) per annum, payable in equal monthly installments from the general fund of the county and at that time, subsection (a) shall become null and void.
