Text

(a)A barber’s college or school, before it shall be issued a license by the commission, must comply with the requirements and standards as follows:
(1)Require as a prerequisite to admission, a diploma or other proof of graduation from a grammar school, or satisfactory completion of an examination devised or approved by the commission, showing knowledge equal to such education.
(2)Require as a prerequisite to graduation, satisfactory completion of a course of instruction of not less than 1,000 hours, to be completed over a period of not less than nine months of continuous instruction of not more than eight hours in any one day.
(3)Such course of instruction shall include the following, or like and equal, subjects: Scientific fundamentals of barbering; hygenic bacteriology; histology of
