Text

(a)Any municipality within Morgan County is authorized to enter into a contract with the Morgan County Commission for contract policing, the contract policing to be furnished by the Sheriff of Morgan County.
(b)Any municipality entering into contract with the county for contract policing shall be authorized to pay over to the county treasury a sum sufficient to provide the necessary manpower and equipment as deemed necessary by the municipal governing body and the sheriff of the county, jointly.
(c)The Morgan County Commission is authorized to receive from any municipality within the county monies earmarked for contract policing and to expend the monies only for police services in the contracting municipality.
