§ 45-52-233 — Pistol License Fee

(a)In Morgan County, the fee for issuance of a license to carry a pistol in a vehicle or concealed on or about the person as provided in Section 13A-11-75 shall be twenty dollars ($20) and shall be collected by the sheriff prior to the issuance of the license.

(b)Of each fee collected, two dollars ($2) shall be remitted to the Morgan County Commission for deposit to the contingent fund of the county and the remainder of the fee shall be deposited to a separate fund entitled sheriff’s department fund to be used at the discretion of the sheriff in addition to other monies allocated for the operation and maintenance of the sheriff’s department.
