Text

The Morgan County Archives shall act as a separate depository for the archival and historic records of all branches of Morgan County government including, but not limited to, the county commission, the judge of probate, the office of the revenue commissioner, the office of the license commissioner, and the sheriff’s department. Any records required to be kept by law by any of the above county officers or departments may be stored in the Morgan County Archives by agreement of the county officer or department. In addition, the Morgan County Archives may act as a depository for items of historical significance from the private sector of Morgan County including, but not be limited to, photographs, books, family histories, diaries, letters, ledgers, and artifacts.
