In addition to any duties and powers provided to the Morgan County License Inspector in Section 45-52-201, the deputy license inspector shall have the same power and authority as deputy sheriffs and other law enforcement officers in this state if the inspector meets the minimum standards for law enforcement officers and holds a current certification from the Alabama Peace Officers’ Standards and Training Commission. The deputy license inspector shall have access to records of the Alabama Criminal Justice Information Center in the same manner as other law enforcement officers.
