Text

(a)In order to promote the health and welfare of the citizens of Morgan County and to protect the property interests of property owners in the county, the Morgan County Commission and the governing bodies of the incorporated municipalities in Morgan County are authorized and empowered to regulate and control through the issuance of permits the location of rock quarry blasting operations within the respective jurisdictions of the county commission and municipal governing bodies.
(b)The Morgan County Commission and the governing body of each municipality within Morgan County shall promulgate and implement such rules, regulations, and restrictions relating to the issuance of permits as it deems necessary, from time to time, to carry out the intent of this section.
