Text

(a)In honor and recognition of the significant contributions and achievements of Martin Luther King, Jr. to the Civil Rights Movement, that portion of the existing Jackson Street in the City of Montgomery, Alabama, located south of Adams Avenue is hereby renamed Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue.
(b)That portion of the existing Jackson Avenue located north of Adams Avenue shall continue to be named Jackson Avenue.
