§ 45-51A-30.01 — Establishment of Entertainment District Authorized

(a) The Montgomery City Council by ordinance, may establish one entertainment district within the city permitting consumption of alcoholic beverages purchased from on-premise alcoholic beverage licensees to be consumed by purchaser anywhere within the entertainment district. The term on premises as applied to consumption in each such entertainment district shall include anywhere within such district, regardless of the terms and conditions of licensure.
(b) The entertainment district herein permitted shall be a geographical area, irregularly shaped, which shall have its southern boundary the northern/northwestern side of Bibb Street, its western boundary on the east-ern/northeastern side of Moulton Street, its northern boundary on the southern/southeastern side of Water Street, including a hypothetical line representing the southern/southeastern boundary of Water Street extending beyond Commerce Street and to the western/southwestern side of Coosa Street and bordered on the eastern side by the western/southwestern boundary of Coosa Street to and including the western/southwestern boundaries of the intersection of Coosa Street and Jefferson Street, then extending eastward along the southern boundary of Jefferson Street to Court Street, then extending southward along the western boundary of Court Street to its intersection with Madison Avenue, and along the northern boundary of Madison Avenue for a short distance until it reaches the point of beginning at the northern/northeastern boundary of Bibb Street, all of the geographical area encompassing basically two square blocks plus a triangular portion of land bordered by Court Street, Jefferson Street, Coosa Street, and a small portion of Madison Avenue. The district, in no respects, shall include public thoroughfares described herein, except, that it shall include Tallapoosa Street from the western/southwestern boundary of Coosa Street to the eastern/northeastern boundary of Moulton Street, and it shall include Commerce Street between the northern/northwestern boundary of Bibb Street and the southern/southeastern boundary of Water Street, and shall include Coosa Street between Tallapoosa Street and Bibb Street.
