Text

(a)There is established a board consisting of five persons, to be called the Board of Revenue of Montgomery County.
(b)The members of the board shall be appointed by the Governor, and shall hold their office for the term of four years, and until their successors are qualified, and in case of a vacancy the same shall be filled by the Governor, upon certificate of such vacancy by the remaining members of the board.
(c)The board shall have power and authority to direct and control the property of the county as it may deem expedient, according to law; to levy a general tax for general, and a special tax for particular county purposes, according to the provisions of this code; to examine, settle, and allow all accounts and claims chargeable against the county; to examine and audit the accoun
