Text

(a)Montgomery County Commission members who have served a total of at least 10 years on the commission may elect to maintain county-sponsored health insurance after their departure from office, provided that:
(1)The health insurance provided to the former commission members shall mirror the health insurance provided to all active county employees; moreover, all rules, regulations, and contributions pertaining to the health insurance plan that are applicable to the active county employees shall also be applicable to the former commission members.
(2)The current county commission may modify the health insurance plan including, but not limited to, the insurance administrator and the types of services covered under the plan, without the notification or consent of the former commission membe
