Text
(a)The Sheriff of Montgomery County may charge and collect a total fee of not more than twenty-five dollars ($25) per request for the following administrative services: Fingerprinting and, where authorized by law, criminal history investigations and reports thereon. The fee may not be charged for a law enforcement purpose on behalf of a law enforcement agency nor shall the fee apply to a person applying for a pistol permit.
(b)The sheriff shall remit the fees collected pursuant to this section monthly to the Montgomery County Commission for deposit in the county general fund.
