Text

(a)The Legislature finds that there is a demonstrated local need to adequately fund the Montgomery County Work Release Program of the Montgomery County Community Corrections Department by assisting the county in its operation of those programs.
(b)(1) In addition to any fees already assessed on an offender participating in the Montgomery County Work Release Program or the Montgomery County Community Corrections Program, there shall be assessed up to an additional 15 percent of the gross earnings of the offender earned while released. The amount to be assessed shall be determined by the sentencing judge in the matter related to the offender.
(2)All proceeds collected pursuant to this section shall be deposited into the county general fund to be used for funding the Montgomery County Work
