Text

Employees of Montgomery County shall receive the same number of holidays as state employees to be observed as provided herein. Montgomery County employees shall observe as holidays the same holidays as employees of the federal government. If there are more state holidays than there are federal holidays, the remaining state holidays shall be taken as personal leave days which shall be authorized by the respective elected official or department head for each employee after coordination and approval of the personal leave days. Each personal leave day shall be taken within the calendar year of the date in which it accrues.
