Text

(a)Until January 18, 2027, the Sheriff of Monroe County shall continue to receive the same base annual salary the sheriff is receiving on May 31, 2025.
(b)Beginning October 1, 2025, in addition to the base salary authorized in subsection (a), the sheriff shall receive an expense allowance of fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) per annum, payable in equal monthly installments from the county general fund. The expense allowance shall be treated as salary for retirement purposes.
(c)Beginning January 18, 2027, the sheriff’s base salary authorized in subsection (a) shall be increased by fifteen thousand dollars ($15,000) per annum and the expense allowance authorized in subsection (b) is repealed.
