Text

(a)Any person shall be qualified to receive a license as an apprentice barber provided he or she satisfies all of the following:
(1)Is at least 16 and one-half years of age and is of good moral character and temperate habits.
(2)Has graduated from an approved school or college of barbering, which school has been approved or licensed under this part.
(3)Passes a satisfactory examination conducted by the barbers’ commission to determine his or her fitness to practice as an apprentice.
(4)Has an eighth grade education or equivalent thereof.
(5)Has obtained a medical certificate as required by this part.
(6)Has paid the required fee specified by this part.
(b)An applicant for a license who fails to satisfactorily complete an examination conducted by the commission may apply for reexami
