Text
It is the intent of the Legislature that the provisions of this part pertaining to pretrial release shall be a guide to judicial officers in Mobile County, to insure that no person be needlessly detained in the county jail because of his or her personal economic circumstances so long as his or her release shall not be contrary to the public interest and also shall serve the purpose of assuring the defendant’s presence at the trial.
