Text
(a)Upon the expiration of the current term of office of the Mobile County Treasurer, or if a vacancy occurs for any reason in the office prior to the expiration of the current term of office, the office of the Mobile County Treasurer is abolished.
(b)Upon the abolition of the office of Mobile County Treasurer, the Mobile County Commission shall perform all acts, duties, and functions required by law to be performed by the treasurer. All records, assets, and property held in the name of the county treasurer shall be transferred to the Mobile County Commission and all merit employees of the Mobile County Treasurer shall become employees of the Mobile County Commission.
(c)All county depositories appointed as of the date of abolition of the office of Mobile County Treasurer shall continue
