(a)The following definitions apply to this section:
(1)ELECTION. The employees of the utilities board shall vote through secret ballot to determine if the utilities board and its employees shall be subject to the countywide civil service system created by Part 1. The utilities board shall set the date of the election and provide all materials necessary for conducting the election. At least two weeks prior to the election, the utilities board shall post on the main bulletin board of each office of the utilities board the place, date, hours, and purpose of the election. However upon a resolution signed by a majority of the employees of the utilities board, the election shall be held at the time, place, hours, and under the supervision of those set out within the resolution signed by a majo
