Text

(a)In Mobile County, in addition to any and all other laws relating to voter registration, there shall be at least two additional deputy registrars from each ward or precinct in each legislative House and Senate district within the county, one appointed upon the recommendation of the senator and one appointed upon the recommendation of the House member from each district. The only requirement for such deputy registrars, shall be that each is a registered voter of Mobile County. They shall be volunteers who serve without pay and the term for each volunteer deputy registrar shall run concurrently with terms of the members of the board of registrars and shall otherwise operate under Act 84-389.
