In addition to the authority granted to a school council in a pilot program in this subpart, the school board may grant to a school council any other authority permitted by law. The members of a school council in a pilot program are immune from civil liability for any claims arising from acts in the course of pursuing their duties as members of the school council if those acts were made in good faith and without malice to the same extent as currently provided by law for teachers and school board members.
