Text

No work shall be authorized or performed by the commission or any member of the commission for any municipality of the county, except for municipal school boards as provided in Section 45-48-70.15, having a population of more than 1,250 persons, requiring the use of county equipment, materials, supplies, or labor, unless such work is first authorized pursuant to a written contract between the municipality and the commission under which the municipality agrees to pay the full cost of labor, materials, and supplies used in such work. Any contract so agreed upon must be approved at a regular session of the commission and signed by a majority of the commission including the chair.
