Text

(a)Beginning on June 1, 2024, each member of the Marion County Commission shall receive an additional expense allowance in an amount that brings the total compensation of each member to sixty thousand dollars ($60,000) per year to be paid out of the county general fund. The expense allowance shall be in addition to any and all other compensation, salary, or expense allowances provided by law.
(b)Beginning with the next term of office after June 1, 2024, the expense allowance provided in subsection (a) shall be void, and each member of the Marion County Commission shall receive a total yearly salary of sixty thousand dollars ($60,000), which shall be in lieu of any other compensation, salary, or expense allowance provided by law for the members for the performance of their official duties
