Text

The board shall have the power to employ a general administrative officer to supervise the operation of all port, dock, or other facilities of the authority. Such general administrative officer, who shall have the title of port director, shall serve at the pleasure of the board and he or she shall receive such compensation as the board may direct. The board may also employ an administrative assistant to the port director, who shall also serve at the pleasure of the board and receive such compensation as the board may direct. All other employees of the authority, except directors, shall be subject to the provisions of any civil service or merit system law then applicable to employees of Marengo County, or the authorizing municipality, to the same extent as if such employees of the authority
