Before entering upon the discharge of their duties, each member of the board of revenue shall give a good and sufficient bond, with good and sufficient surety, payable to the County of Marengo in the penal sum of five thousand dollars ($5,000) each, to be filed with and approved by the judge of probate of the county, with condition faithfully to discharge the duties of such office during the time he or she continues therein or discharges any of the duties thereof-all premiums on the bonds to be paid out of the county treasury, on certificates or warrants signed by the president of the board of revenue.
