§ 45-45A-31 — Payment for Information Leading to Arrest and Conviction of Person Guilty of High Crime or Misdemeanor

The governing body of the City of Huntsville, in Madison County, is hereby authorized to appropriate and pay from any general funds of the city otherwise unappropriated, up to the sum of three thousand dollars ($3,000) for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the guilty person for any high crime or misdemeanor in any case where the governing body has, prior to April 15, 1982, manifested the intent of the governing body to appropriate any sum up to three thousand dollars ($3,000) with respect to any high crime or misdemeanor heretofore committed; the sum to be paid only upon order of the court before which such conviction was had.
