The office of Register in Chancery of the Twenty-third Judicial Circuit of Alabama is hereby abolished and all duties and functions of the office, as heretofore provided by law, or as may hereafter be provided by general law for registers in chancery, are transferred to the Circuit Court Clerk of the circuit; it being the intent of this subpart to grant and convey to the clerk all the powers, authority, immunities, privileges, and duties heretofore held and exercised by the register in addition to the clerk’s regular duties and functions provided by law. In assuming such authority and duties the circuit court clerk shall collect and lawfully disperse all fees heretofore or hereafter provided by law to be collected and distributed by registers of circuit courts.
