Text

(a)On July 1, 1984, the salaries, supplements, and expense allowances of certain officers of Madison County, Alabama, shall be as follows:
(1)The county coroner shall receive an annual salary of eight thousand four hundred dollars ($8,400).
(2)The judge of probate shall receive an annual salary of thirty-eight thousand dollars ($38,000) beginning January 15, 1985.
(3)The tax assessor and the tax collector shall each receive an annual salary of twenty-eight thousand five hundred dollars ($28,500) with annual salary adjustments being tied to the yearly average for the consumer price index since the last adjustment in their salaries. The tax officials shall continue to receive expense allowances as now provided by law.
(4)The circuit clerk shall receive an annual county salary supplement
