Text
In Lowndes County, notwithstanding all laws, rules, and regulations to the contrary, upon request by a property owner, the county health department’s public health environmental soil specialist, or its duly appointed agent, shall perform a site evaluation test prior to the installation or repair of a conventional onsite disposal septic system at no cost to the homeowner. However, if Lowndes County becomes a fee-based county, a site evaluation fee of not more than fifty dollars ($50) shall be paid to the Lowndes County Health Department.
