The office of license inspector for Limestone County is hereby abolished. Thereupon, the county license commissioner shall become the ex-officio license inspector of the county. He or she shall perform all the duties required by law of the license inspector. The commissioner and such other assistants as are duly authorized by him or her, shall have the same powers and authority as license inspectors have under the general law. For performing the duties of license inspector required by this part, the commissioner shall be entitled to charge and collect the same fees, costs, penalties, and commissions as license inspectors have heretofore been authorized by law to charge and collect. All such monies collected by the commissioner shall be paid into the general fund of the county.
