Text

(a)Immediately upon October 1, 1979, as hereinafter provided, the judge of the district court for Lee County, Alabama, shall receive an annual supplemental salary payable in equal monthly installments from the General Fund of Lee County, in an amount of ten thousand dollars ($10,000).
(b)The county governing body of Lee County may pay to the district judges of Lee County, in the discretion of the county governing body, an annual county salary supplement of an amount equal to one thousand dollars ($1,000) less than the annual county salary supplement paid to the circuit judges of Lee County. The supplement authorized by this subsection shall be paid in equal monthly installments out of the general fund of the county treasury, shall be in addition to the salary paid the district judges by
