Text

(a)There shall be created and established a bureau known as Auburn-Opelika Tourism.
(b)The bureau shall be composed of the following board members:
(1)The Chair of the Lee County Commission or his or her appointee.
(2)The Mayor of the City of Auburn or his or her appointee.
(3)The Mayor the City of Opelika or his or her appointee.
(4)An employee of Auburn University, appointed by the President of Auburn University.
(5)The President of the Auburn Chamber of Commerce or his or her appointee.
(6)The President of the Opelika Chamber of Commerce or his or her appointee.
(7)An additional member chosen by the other voting members of the board.
(8)The mayor or his or her designee of any other municipality in Lee County that contains an entity that is required to pay a lodging tax.
